Important Note: For work or long-term stays in Azerbaijan, you must also apply through the Azerbaijani embassy channels. Only embassies can issue employment visas and residence permits.
Countries that do not Require Visa to Enter Azerbaijan
Citizens of the following countries can enter Azerbaijan without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days:
Countries Barred from Entering Azerbaijan
Nationals of Armenia are banned from entering Azerbaijan, except in rare cases, such as participating in an international sporting event.
This ban also applies to people of Armenian descent, including Armenian Russians, no matter their nationality.
Travel Ban on Restricted Regions like Nagorno-Karabakh
Azerbaijan does not allow travellers to visit Nagorno-Karabakh (the Republic of Artsakh) or nearby areas controlled by Armenia. Anyone who enters these areas may be declared persona non grata and permanently banned from entering Azerbaijan.
